Lisa Swain

District 38

Lisa Swain has served in the State Assembly since 2018.

Swain was the mayor of Fair Lawn just prior to her appointment to the State Assembly. As mayor, Swain fought for fiscal responsibility and stable taxes while delivering high-quality services to residents. Swain also led the charge to improve Fair Lawn’s water quality by removing pollutants.

In the State Assembly, Swain has worked with fellow LD 38 Assembly member Chris Tully to bring over $20 million in education funding back to the district, protect New Jerseyans’ health care from potentially devastating cuts by Republicans in Congress, and keep seniors in their homes by expanding the Homestead Rebate and Senior Freeze programs.

Lisa lives in Fair Lawn with her husband and is the proud mother of two grown daughters raised in Fair Lawn. She is also an award-winning triathlete who coaches aspiring triathletes and swimmers.

Christopher Tully

District 38

Chris Tully has served in the State Assembly since 2018.

Tully began his political career in Bergenfield, where he served as council president and chair of the Finance Committee. Tully fought for taxpayers by reducing borough debt and delivering fiscally responsible budgets. During his time as a councilman, his local community’s progress was recognized by numerous publications as one of New Jersey’s safest communities and as one of the best communities to raise children in New Jersey.

Tully was also privileged to serve as the District Director to Congressman Josh Gottheimer in New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District.

Chris lives in Bergenfield with his wife and two-year-old son.
